Kidwelly Castle
Kidwelly Castle (Welsh'Castell Cydweli) is an Anglo-Norman Castell
overlooking the
river Gwendraeth and the town of  Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire

Carreg Cennen Castle

One of the most spectacularly sited Welsh Castles is Carreg Cennen, located north of Swansea,
 a few miles south-east of Llandeilo on a minor road off the A483.

Dylan Thomas Boathouse
Set in a cliff overlooking the glorious, 'heron priested' Taf Estuary the Boathouse offers a fascinating visit 
including memorabilia, interpretation, bookshop and tea-room.


National Wetland Centre
Stretching over 450 acres on the Burry Inlet, this magnificent mosaic of lakes, pools and lagoons is home to countless
wild species

 as diverse as dragonflies and Little Egrets.

National Coracle Centre
 The National Coracle Museum houses an international collection of coracles from as far afield as Vietnam,
North America, India, Tibet and Iraq to complement the collection of coracles from around our home islands

Unique Roman gold mine set amid wooded hillsides, Guided tours of the underground working,
andexhibition on gold


Welsh Chocolate Farm
3000 years of history in chocolate. On a Factory Tour they will show you how chocolates are made.
Young and old are welcome to have a go.


Carmarthen County Museum
The County Museum presents many aspects of Carmarthenshire’s rich and varied past.
Visitors can still see the tranquil, private chapel used by the bishops.



Kidwelly Industrial Museum
The Industrial Museum itself is the site of the second oldest recorded tinplate works in the UK
 and some of the remains of this works can still be seen today.


Carmarthen Golf Club
The course offers magnificent views of the surrounding countryside as well as providing q 18 hole layout.
The par 71 will challenge the best and still allow the novice to enjoy a days golf,


National Wool Museum
Re-opened in 2004 following major re-development, this flagship museum is a new and
 exciting place to visit with something for everyone to enjoy.


Dinefwr Park and Castle
Home to more than 100 fallow deer and a small herd of white park cattle.
Country house with some rooms dressed in 1912 style, exhibition rooms, tea rooms,  NT shop.


Gelli Aur Country Park
At Gelli Aur, 60 acres of wooded parkland surround a magnificent mansion (not currently open to the public)
 with commanding views across the Vale of Tywi.


Gwili Railway
The volunteer run Gwili Steam Railway, is the only steamed standard gauge railway operating in South West Wales
The Gwili Railway is a living reminder of a Great Western Railway branch line set in the breathtaking
Carmarthenshire hills


Sospan Hopper Land Train
The Sospan Hopper land train caeries passengers through Carmarthenshire's prestigious,
 millenium coastal park



       Glyn Coch Craft Centre
Glyn-coch is a small family run craft centre and woodland walk, centrally located
on a twenty-seven acre smallholding


Origin Dyfed
Origin Dyfed was the brainchild of a handful of local craftmakers, who had a particular affection
for, and sense of responsibility to, their industry and community. 


   Aberglasney Gardens
Spectacularly set in the beautiful Tywi Valley of Carmarthenshire, Aberglasney House features one of the finest
gardens in Wales, Aberglasney Gardens have been an inspiration to poets since 1477.

       Pendine Museum Of Speed
Opened in 1996, the museum interprets the Pendine area, focusing on the use of the sands at Pendine
for land speed attempts and racing.


   Pembrey Ski Slope
Situated in Pembrey Country Park, set against the spectacular backdrop of the Gower Peninsula and overlooking the
coastal scenery of Carmarthen Bay, Ski Pembrey offers one of the most up to date facilities in the whole of Wales.



    Llandovery Castle
Today, Llandovery Castle steadfastly guards the River Bran and its attractive village.
It is freely accessible at all times, and makes an enjoyable stop on any drive across South Wales.

     Lyric Theatre
The Lyric Theatre and Cinema in King Street, Carmarthen, is reputed to be the largest single screen cinema in Wales,
with 740 seats to one screen

              Carmarthen Leisure Centre
                          Situated at Johnstown on the outskirts of Carmarthen the leisure centre offers a variety of activities to
                attract all age groups.


   Millenium Coastal Park
The Millennium Coastal Path is a 22 km pedestrian walkway and cycleway along
 the south coast of  Carmarthenshire,
 providing a link between Llanelli and Pembrey Country Park.
